Welcome to a new way of living
Have you noticed that that word 'mindfulness' is everywhere these days? If you’re like me, you’ve probably heard it being spoken about in some context or other. But have you ever asked what does mindfulness really mean? Maybe you’ve arrived here at this website because you’re simply curious to know more about mindfulness and how it might benefit you, or perhaps you are a seasoned practitioner and want to renew your practice? Maybe you are at a point in life where you’re taking an honest look at yourself? Maybe you’re realizing your life as you know it right now could be lived better, but not sure where, or how to start?
I want you to know you have landed at the right place.
As a certified MBSR teacher, I teach a simple and direct practice of moment-to-moment observation through the breath and the senses to focus our awareness in any given situation. Mindfulness practice supports us to familiarize ourselves with a clear and accurate way of seeing things to better calm our stress or usual habitual reactivity. Have you ever noticed how much we can be caught up in streams of thought or asleep on autopilot for most of our day? Wouldn’t you much rather like to ‘discover falling awake’ to the moments of your life, and in time, be more comfortable with all aspects of experience – including the good, the bad and the ugly - with less discomfort and more balance? Through mindfulness, I welcome you to a fresh way of perceiving everything to transform the quality of your life.
When you begin the journey of mindfulness you will learn to access and cultivate your natural capacity to care for yourself for overall better health.
And the best time to become familiar with your inner resources for learning, growth and healing is NOW, which is really the only moment we ever have towards living a life as if it really mattered…because it does.
I look forward to gently guiding you on this rich, transformative journey of discovery .

It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go,
we have come to our real journey.

"Karen, I want to take a moment to personally thank you for all you do. You have no idea how much of an impact you have made in my life ever since I joined the group Thursday sessions, and then even more so since I have started your course. My life is more effortless, pleasurable, and healthy. I will take the practice you are teaching me with me for the rest of my life and I know it will take me places that I would not have been able to venture into otherwise. ~ N.F.
